According to The Wall Street Journal, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is in early talks to raise a new fund of $100 billion, which will acquire manufacturing companies and use artificial intelligence technology to accelerate their transformation towards automation.
The Amazon founder is meeting with some of the largest asset management institutions globally to raise funds for the project. A few months ago, he traveled to the Middle East to discuss the new fund with representatives of sovereign wealth funds in the region.
