Arbitrum Launches Developer Guild, Offchain Labs Becomes First Member
The Arbitrum Foundation has launched the Arbitrum Developer Guild, which will allocate a portion of its ecosystem revenue to teams that have made significant contributions to its core technology. The first member is Offchain Labs. The guild operates on an invitation-only basis, with funding sources including 2% of the net protocol revenue from the Arbitrum chain and 3% from priority gas auctions and sequencer data stream revenues from Arbitrum One. During the period when Offchain Labs is the sole member, the team will receive all the funds from the guild. The Arbitrum Foundation stated that this move is expected to encourage Offchain Labs to focus more on increasing DAO revenue and reduce the amount of funding requested from the DAO in the future.
