This step makes Bhutan the first country to receive tourism-related services using more than 100 cryptocurrencies. Customers can pay for flights, accommodation, visa charges, and retail items today using digital assets in the participating outlets.The government's Department of Tourism confirmed this initiative’s adoption. The Department is trying to modernize payment infrastructure and offer visitors more flexibility. Binance Pay will facilitate secure and instant crypto transactions while a traveller is staying in the place. This is a drastic change in the nation's approach to tourism and finance.Crypto Payments Now Available for Flights, Hotels, and VisasTourists visiting Bhutan can now pay for major travel-related expenses with cryptocurrencies. The country's tourism board has partnered with major service providers to allow airlines, hotels, and visa processing agencies to accept cryptos, among other things. Under this structure, international travelers can thus avoid traditional currency exchanges.The addition consists of more than 100 confirmed cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Binance Coin. Binance Pay can be accessed using a mobile phone and will enhance cheap cross-border transactions. The passengers are therefore able to make payments on time using this system, eradicating the waiting time and thus making the check-in process easy and not tedious.The Department of Tourism explained that the crypto initiative indicates that Bhutan is attempting to embrace digital innovation.
