Data: Trump Media invested in BTC with a loss of $455 million, still holding 6,889 bitcoins
According to EmberCN statistics, Trump Media Technology Group (stock code: DJT) raised funds last July and August by selling company stocks and convertible bonds to purchase 11,542 BTC, worth up to $1.368 billion, with an average purchase price of $118,529.
Earlier this year, it sold 2,000 BTC at an average price of $87,380, and transferred another 2,650 BTC back to the trading platform, worth $205 million. Trump Media is currently facing a loss of $455 million on its BTC investments and still holds 6,889 BTC, worth $533 million.
