Deloitte effectively acquires the Blocknative team, which will cease API and Gas Network services
Deloitte has acquired the cryptocurrency infrastructure company Blocknative through a "team acquisition." The Blocknative team will focus on driving Web3 innovation within Deloitte's portfolio. An announcement on Blocknative's official website indicates that the company is ceasing operations, with its API services and Gas Network expected to gradually shut down after June 19. Blocknative was founded in 2018 and primarily provided real-time mempool monitoring, gas fee prediction, and transaction management tools, with its Gas Network used to provide real-time gas price data. This transaction occurs against the backdrop of a new wave of consolidation in the cryptocurrency industry. Recently, several infrastructure projects have experienced layoffs or ceased operations, while traditional professional service firms like Deloitte continue to expand their service coverage in the cryptocurrency sector, including areas such as accounting, auditing, and corporate consulting.
