The municipal enterprise "Dniprovskyi Electric Transport" in collaboration with the European Investment Bank has announced an international tender for the purchase of new low-floor multi-section trams. The expected contract value is over €7.79 million (excluding VAT). The procurement is part of the "Urban Public Transport of Ukraine II" project. The deadline for submitting tender proposals is set for October 15, 2026. The tender includes the supply of three-section tram cars measuring 26-27 meters in length, equipped with one driver's cabin and a fully low floor. The passenger capacity should be around 250 people, with at least 60 seats available, as well as at least one specially equipped space for a wheelchair. The contract price includes essential and fast-wearing spare parts, specialized equipment for repair and maintenance, as well as ancillary services from the supplier. The first batch of new cars is to be delivered within 36 weeks from the receipt of the advance payment, with a total contract execution period of 52 weeks.
