fantasy.top announced it will cease operations at the end of June, stating that long-term economic viability has shown its limitations
SocialFi trading card game (TCG) fantasy.top announced that it will close at the end of June after two years of operation. The team stated that the long-term economics of the TCG model ultimately showed its limitations, and the trading volume was insufficient to sustainably support long-term operations.
Over the past year, the team explored various social vertical products such as prediction markets, mind share tracking, and social graph betting, but none achieved lasting market fit. All investors will receive a full refund. The main Fantasy competition will continue until June 18, until all remaining rewards are distributed. Games such as prediction markets, prize pools, and arenas will close on May 21.
