GMPayer: Cross-Chain x402 Payment Hub for AI Agents
Source: GMPayer

Preview: LazAI collaborates with ZKM, Metis, and the GOAT Network to launch GMPayer, a payment protocol based on x402 for cross-chain AI payments without intermediaries.
AI Agents are becoming independent economic actors, autonomously discovering services and executing payments. x402 and GMPayer represent the culmination of all these advancements, creating a decentralized on-chain economy where machines exchange value without intermediaries.
x402 Introduces New Solutions and Challenges
For the past 30 years, status code 402 has been reserved as a placeholder for "payment required." For AI Agents engaging in autonomous negotiated services, this has presented a fundamental bottleneck: they have the funds, the server requests payment, but the protocol itself lacks a native way to facilitate the exchange.
Coinbase and Cloudflare established the x402 Foundation in September 2025 to standardize addressing an unnoticed bottleneck issue on the internet through decentralization and encryption technology. Major tech companies, including Google, Visa, AWS, and Anthropic, have joined and integrated it into their platforms.
However, bringing funds to AI agents is more than just a matter of speed. To make x402 payments between AI entities secure, the entire cycle must bind value with proof, rights, policies, and throughput in one go. It demands a fast lane with finality, a truth layer that turns execution into receipts, an ownership layer ensuring proper payment attribution, and a channel supporting multi-currency flow.
Moreover, it requires cross-chain and cross-currency scalability without relying on centralized intermediaries.
GMPayer Emerges
GMPayer (GOAT-Metis-Payer) is the first multi-currency payment hub powered by x402, developed through the collaboration between LazAI and ZKM with the collective support of Metis and the GOAT Network. It enables instant, trustless pay-as-you-go functionality across multiple blockchains and currencies, free from centralized intermediaries, accounts, or human intervention, allowing x402 to operate within multiple blockchain ecosystems.

Four-Stage Vision
The GMPayer's four-stage roadmap outlines the development path from simple autonomous transactions to a fully decentralized AI economy. Starting with the establishment of an x402-powered Intelligent Entity Payment Hub, it gradually evolves into a universal value exchange layer, enabling AI, data, and services to seamlessly interact across all blockchains.
Stage One: Building Payment Hub
Launch the first multi-currency payment hub based on x402, serving AI Agents. Enable intelligent entities to independently pay for data and computing resource costs, creating real economic interactions between intelligent entities.
Stage Two: Making Payments Trustable and Controllable
Users can securely grant small payment permissions to their agents, allowing these intelligent entities to maintain control and budget constraints outside of centralized clouds.
Stage Three: AI Business Network
Build an AI business network based on DAT as the asset unit. AI services become assets; each call is a transaction, evolving from a "tool" into a sustainable profit system.
Stage Four: Universal AI Value Exchange Layer
Any Web3 chain can seamlessly integrate AI into the application layer.
For the first stage, the GMPayer architecture will be deployed according to the following initial configuration:

x402 Core Strength: LazAI x ZKM (Tech) + Metis x GOAT (Eco)
GMPayer leverages the strengths of these four domains to make autonomous cross-network payments a reality:
LazAI: Through its Data Anchoring Token (DAT) standard, LazAI directly binds the source, rights, and revenue to datasets and models. Each x402 transaction is mapped to its contributors, enabling automatic profit sharing per call across multiple chains.
ZKM: Leveraging Zero-Knowledge Proof technology, ZKM ensures that x402 Enabler maintains verifiability and trustlessness. It validates quotes, authorizations, and payment payloads — providing a portable truth for smart agents and auditors while remaining neutral.
Metis: Serving as the core for execution and settlement, Metis anchors transactions on Andromeda and extends computational workloads via Hyperion. Its low fees and fast finality make x402 microtransactions economically viable.
GOAT: Acting as the native Bitcoin settlement layer, GOAT introduces EIP-3009 support and zkRollup infrastructure to bridge stablecoins and Bitcoin between GOAT and Metis through ultra-low-cost cross-chain operations.

What is $BANG?
1. $BANG is a Proof of Concept (PoC) token concurrently issued on Metis Andromeda and GOAT Network, with a total supply of 1 billion on each chain, split into 500 million for each; out of which 250 million are allocated for token minting, and 250 million for liquidity. $BANG tokens are currently only used for proof of concept with no utilities.
2. By contributing 1 USD in either $xMETIS or $xGOAT through the x402 standard, you receive 5,000 $BANG tokens as part of the METIS Andromeda and GOAT Network PoC.
3. You can donate an unlimited number of times before reaching the availability limit, with each donation capped at 1 USD.
4. Token minting will commence at 0:00 on November 4, 2025, China time, and will last for only 72 hours.
Operation Principle:
Initiate a payment request via x402 on Metis Andromeda or the GOAT Network using $xMETIS or $xGOATED.
Each transaction will generate a verifiable proof and return the corresponding amount of $BANG tokens as confirmation.
GMPayer supports both Metis Andromeda and the GOAT Network, allowing you to convert tokens between $METIS/$xMETIS and $GOATED/$xGOATED at a 1:1 ratio.
Note: $xMETIS and $xGOATED follow the EIP-3009 compatible token standard designed to support the x402 protocol standard.
Step-by-Step Tutorial
Choose Network
Select the network you wish to use for payments:
Metis Andromeda (for $xMETIS minting)
GOAT Network (for $xGOATED minting)

Connect your wallet and sign the message.

Ensure you have a sufficient balance of $xMETIS or $xGOATED.
If you lack enough $xMETIS or $xGOATED, you can seamlessly exchange $METIS or $GOATED at a zero slippage rate to acquire them.
Get xMetis/xGOATED
If you need to convert your tokens, GMPayer provides a built-in "Convert" feature.
Click the "Convert" button at the bottom of the page.

On Metis Andromeda, you can swap $METIS ↔ $xMETIS

On the GOAT Network, you can swap $GOATED ↔ $xGOATED

You can easily switch between the Metis chain and GOAT chain at any time.
All conversions are conducted at a 1:1 ratio, with no hidden fees and zero slippage. $xMETIS and $xGOATED adhere to EIP-3009 to comply with the x402 Protocol's Payment Token Standard.
On the conversion page, enter the amount you wish to convert and confirm. After the transaction is complete, your wallet will promptly receive an equivalent amount of $xMETIS or $xGOATED.
Minting Process
Minting Details
On the minting interface, review the following information:
Current Network
Total Supply of $BANG Token
Minting Progress (e.g., Minted 5,000 / 25,000,000)
Then click on "Mint now." Upon confirmation, you will instantly receive the $BANG token.

Important Note:
Each time you click "Mint now" and provide offline wallet signature authorization, the system will automatically debit you $1 worth of $xMETIS or $xGoated and return 5,000 $BANG to your wallet address.
The token minting event will only last for 72 hours.
Important Disclaimer: BANG is a concept validation token issued on both Metis Andromeda and GOAT Network, with a total supply of 1 billion (50% on each chain), and currently has no utilities.
AI Agent Economy is Now Live
x402 is quickly emerging as the new focal point of attention for builders, dedicated to defining the transactional nature of AI Agents.
Together, we will create a cross-chain payment layer with robust anti-surge throughput and native asset settlement. GMPayer, built on x402, is where AI Agents cease talking and start transacting, establishing an intermediary-free, coherently cooperative AI-to-AI payment economy.
