The government has introduced temporary registration for cars manufactured in Ukraine, allowing automakers to obtain temporary documents and one-time license plates for one month for export. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Bohdan Drapiatyi announced the implementation of the temporary registration mechanism aimed at facilitating exports. The changes are necessary due to the challenges faced by Ukrainian enterprises when driving cars abroad. Unregistered vehicles cannot move on roads, requiring prior registration and subsequent deregistration, which complicated export contracts. Now, manufacturers will receive license plates for one-time trips and a registration certificate valid for one month marked "Export. Temporary Registration," confirming temporary accounting for export. This will allow cars to be driven without prior permanent registration. The regulation also governs the registration and re-registration of state and communal property vehicles transferred for use under usufruct rights. The new rules will reduce administrative procedures and promote the export of Ukrainian cars.
