Hyperliquid Short Squeeze Underway: BTC Long Whale Cools Off by Nearly 50%, ETH Short Interest Doubles Longs

BlockBeats News, December 26th, according to HyperInsight monitoring, the recent Whale Long positions on BTC and ETH on Hyperliquid have seen a significant reduction. Currently, the BTC Whale Long vs. Short strength is evenly matched, while the ETH short positions are twice as many as long positions. Currently, there are about 122 BTC Whale Longs and 116 Shorts; for ETH, there are about 58 Whale Longs and 113 Shorts.

Compared to the data from October 14th this year, the number of BTC Whale Long positions has dropped by nearly half in about two months from 234, while the short positions were about 125 at that time, with relatively limited changes.

According to monitoring, the current largest BTC Short Whale on Hyperliquid (0x50b) has an average position price of about $88,200, a liquidation price of $94,100, and a position size of about $76.44 million; the largest ETH Short Whale, known as the "20 Million Range Hunter," has an average position price of around $3,129, a liquidation price of $3,796, and a position size of about $70.23 million.
