Lite Strategy repurchases 4.9 million shares using Litecoin sales

Lite Strategy, a Nasdaq-listed company, repurchased approximately 4.9 million shares for about 5.4 million dollars through July 17, funded by a mix of Litecoin (LTC) sales and covered-call premiums. This buyback reduced the company's reported Litecoin holdings but increased LTC backing per outstanding share by about 1.7%. In a July 30 filing, Lite Strategy disclosed it paid an average of 1.11 dollars per share and retired around 13% of outstanding shares without incurring debt. As of July 17, the company held 819,070 LTC and had 31,882,648 outstanding shares. After the buyback began, Lite Strategy reported 929,548 LTC as of December 31. The implied starting share count, assuming no offsetting changes, is about 36.78 million. The LTC backing per share rose from approximately 0.02527 LTC to 0.02569 LTC, an increase of about 1.66%. The reported LTC holdings fell 11.89% from December 31 to July 17, while the reconstructed share count declined about 13.32%. Lite Strategy reported 1.925 million dollars in digital-asset sale proceeds and 742,000 dollars in covered-call premiums through March 31, with 1.995 million dollars spent on repurchasing 1,629,136 shares. The company noted its discount to Litecoin net asset value reached the low-40% range during the buyback and later narrowed below 25%. Lite Strategy reported no debt and preliminary June 30 estimates of 5.7 million dollars in cash and 1.1 million dollars in liabilities, indicating no debt pressure from this transaction.
