The Nevada gaming regulator has imposed a daily fine of $120,000 on the prediction market platform Kalshi, citing that investigators were still able to complete transactions on Kalshi through local mobile networks after the deadline for geographic blocking remediation had expired. Kalshi stated that it has hired GeoComply, which is licensed by state regulators, to provide geolocation services and accused some investigators of misreporting their residency, with at least one person bypassing the platform's interception measures.
