In the first seven months of 2026, the State Employment Service provided services to nearly 65,600 internally displaced persons (IDPs), of whom one in three successfully found employment. Employment centers in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions were the most active in working with displaced persons. The Donetsk Regional Employment Center continues to remotely serve and train clients from the eastern part of the country. In Dnipropetrovsk, nearly 3,700 vacancies for displaced persons have been closed, accounting for 15% of the total nationwide. More than 5,000 IDPs underwent vocational training, with the highest number trained at the Donetsk Employment Center. About 1,500 displaced persons joined public works, with the highest activity among residents of Kharkiv region. The format of socially useful work has become particularly in demand, with nearly 12,400 displaced persons participating, and more than 2,000 placements issued in Kharkiv region. Career guidance services were received by 42,000 displaced persons, of whom 5,200 underwent career orientation in Dnipropetrovsk region. The government has also changed the rules for compensation for housing IDPs, concerning institutions that hosted displaced persons without documents.
