Payments for IDPs Extended by 6 Months
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended state housing assistance for internally displaced persons (IDPs) for an additional six months. The press service of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine announced the adoption of a resolution that expands the duration of state support and clarifies the conditions for the allocation of payments. Displaced persons who meet the criteria will receive benefits for another six months, increasing the total number of payment periods from five to six. The resolution also regulates the mechanism for providing cash payments for children from IDP families, which will be carried out automatically. The document clarifies the procedure for appealing decisions of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, aligning it with current legislation. Additionally, the government has changed the rules for compensations for the accommodation of IDPs, especially for institutions that have hosted displaced persons without documents. The Ministry of Social Policy is developing new programs to provide housing for displaced persons wishing to live in rural areas.
