QCP Capital: Credit Pressure in AI Infrastructure Drags Down Crypto Market
QCP Capital stated that credit pressure in the AI infrastructure sector is spreading, with CoreWeave bond yields rising to 15%, raising concerns in the market about the financing costs and profitability of the new cloud infrastructure industry, further impacting the stock and cryptocurrency markets. At the same time, Tesla has lowered its future capital expenditure expectations, exacerbating market concerns about the return on AI investments in the tech sector. Amid rising risk aversion, investors are turning to U.S. Treasury bonds, pushing long-term U.S. bond yields down. Expectations for Federal Reserve policy have also changed: the likelihood of an interest rate hike in October is close to zero, and confidence in a rate cut in December has weakened. QCP Capital pointed out that Bitcoin is currently still primarily following the weakness in the stock market and has not yet demonstrated independent price discovery capability. Future attention should be paid to tech companies' earnings reports, the Federal Reserve's December meeting, geopolitical situations, and the market impact of the U.S. midterm elections on November 3.
