Robinhood CEO: Received a Large Number of Requests from Private Companies to Issue Tokenized Stocks
BlockBeats News, July 8th, according to Cointelegraph, after Robinhood launched its stock token platform in the European Union last week, it has attracted strong interest from many private companies looking to tokenize their equities.
Robinhood's CEO Vlad Tenev stated that the company has received numerous requests from private enterprises that wish to allow retail investors to participate in their equity trading through blockchain-based tokens.
The platform is currently available only in the European Union, supporting tokenized trading of over 200 U.S. stocks, with trading taking place five days a week. Additionally, the platform has conducted a promotion, giving away non-tradable tokens representing private companies such as OpenAI and SpaceX for free.
