Sam Callahan: Bitcoin Doesn't Need Rate Cuts to Succeed
The U.S. dollar has lost at least 20% of its purchasing power in five years, according to the Fed's inflation gauge. Sam Callahan discusses financial repression, noting core PCE averaging 3.7% and the U.S. bond market's steepest drawdown in history. He states that current policies are effective for the government but not for the people. Callahan also addresses Brazil's readiness for a Bitcoin treasury company, MSCI's exclusion of Bitcoin, and the global debt situation. He emphasizes that currency debasement is an easy solution for governments and questions when central banks will adopt Bitcoin. Callahan argues that Bitcoin does not require lower interest rates, highlighting the importance of fiscal dominance.
