NXPC, the native token of Nexpace, the blockchain arm of South Korean video game developer Nexon, is set to be listed on Binance Alpha and other tier-1 exchanges. In a May 14 announcement, Binance said that NXPC will be available for trading on Binance Alpha on May 15, 2025, at 6:00 AM UTC. Just 30 minutes later, the exchange’s futures platform, Binance Futures, will also add support for the token, allowing derivative traders to trade with up to 50x leverage. Prior to these listings, the exchange will support NXPC’s token generation event, where Alpha users who meet a certain Alpha Points threshold can claim their airdrop on the Binance Alpha Events Page between May 15 at 6:00 AM UTC and May 16 at 5:59 AM UTC. Binance has not publicly disclosed the total number of NXPC tokens earmarked specifically for this airdrop. The exact amount of tokens distributed per user depends on individual Alpha Points balances and the specific eligibility criteria set for this campaign. However, it should be noted that a listing on Binance Alpha and Futures does not guarantee that NXPC will be listed on Binance Spot. The token will still need to go through Binance’s internal evaluation and due diligence process before the exchange can confirm an official spot listing. Alongside its Binance Alpha listing, other major exchanges that vowed support for the token include KuCoin, Bitget, Gate.io, Upbit and Bithumb. What is Nexpace? Nexpace is the blockchain subsidiary of South Korean gaming firm Nexon, established to lead the company’s Web3 initiatives. Its primary project is MapleStory Universe, a blockchain-based evolution of the iconic 2D MMORPG, MapleStory, first released in 2003. To support this ecosystem, Nexpace introduced NXPC, a utility token designed to enhance user engagement and community-driven development. According to Nexpace, the NXPC token will allow players to create, trade, and own in-game items as NFTs, which will help promote a “natural flow of community-driven growth.” While there has been no official confirmation from the NEXPACE team, community members expect the NXPC to launch on the Avalanche blockchain, which currently powers the web3 version of MapleStory.
