Suburban Train Attacked in Sumy Region, Injuries Reported
In the Sumy region, Russian troops attacked a suburban diesel train. The train was stopped prematurely due to the threat, and passengers were evacuated. According to preliminary data, not all passengers managed to move to a safe distance, resulting in injuries from shrapnel. First aid was provided to the victims by the train crew on site, and later medical personnel arrived. Railways emphasize that railway transport remains one of the main targets of Russian troops in frontline communities. Passengers are urged to follow safety rules: in case of a stop and evacuation announcement, it is necessary to quickly head to a shelter if available, or move at least 200 meters away from the train if there is no shelter. "These rules are written in blood," railway workers note. In most cases, trains manage to stop in time, so following instructions can save lives and reduce the risk of injury. Passengers are also asked to inform relatives and acquaintances who regularly use suburban trains in frontline regions about safety rules.
