Suspect in the Murder of Crypto Tycoon Roman Novak Dies in UAE Prison
The Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia has disclosed that Vladimir Dalekin, one of the suspects in the murder of crypto tycoon Roman Novak and his wife Anna, died last month in a prison in the UAE. His cause of death is believed to be a long-term chronic illness that was not previously reported. In October 2025, the Novak couple was kidnapped and murdered after meeting with alleged "investors" in Dubai. Three suspects are accused of impersonating investors and demanding Novak's cryptocurrency wallet password. At the time of his disappearance, Novak was under investigation for allegedly defrauding cryptocurrency investors under the guise of business development.
