Ukraine Updates Air Raid Rules and Operations of Schools, Shopping Malls, and Transport
Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Korotkyi announced measures in response to changes in Russian strike tactics, including the use of drones. The country will update its alert systems, introducing yellow and red threat levels. The yellow level will indicate drone attacks, while the red level will signify missile danger. The sound signals of sirens will change, and the repeated activation of sirens to indicate an all-clear will be canceled. The President has instructed to clarify the geographical differentiation of alerts. State institutions, businesses, and shopping malls will be able to continue operations during the yellow level. The regulations for the placement of shelters will also be updated. In Kyiv, the operation of public transport will be reviewed: the Syretsko-Pecherska metro line will operate fully during the yellow level. The number of ground transport vehicles will increase to compensate for stops. The duration of the curfew in Kyiv will be shortened. The rules for the operation of schools and kindergartens will remain unchanged. The Cabinet of Ministers will provide financial support to medical institutions. A weekly audit of response algorithms will be introduced.
