BlockBeats News, February 2nd - According to The Wall Street Journal, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren has called for a congressional hearing regarding the $500 million investment by the United Arab Emirates National Security Advisor Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan to acquire a stake in WLFI. The transaction document was signed by Eric Trump, with approximately $187 million directly flowing to Trump-related entities, and at least $31 million flowing to entities associated with Trump ally Steve Witkoff.

Elizabeth Warren stated that this action is "purely corrupt" and called on the Trump administration to reverse its decision to sell sensitive artificial intelligence chips to the UAE. She also demanded that Trump administration officials, including Steve Witkoff, White House Crypto Advisor David Sacks, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, testify before Congress on the matter, alleging that they jeopardized U.S. national security by seeking to benefit a President-linked crypto company.
