WEEX Exclusive:Payrolls Beat Revives Hike Pricing | WEEX TradFi Daily(September 7, 2026)
Opening Summary
- August payrolls of about 162,000 and a 4.1% unemployment rate lifted the 10-year yield to around 4.78%, reviving hike pricing and capping tech and long-duration asset elasticity.
- Bitcoin held near $80,000, while spot bitcoin ETFs recorded about $987 million of weekly net inflows and roughly $3.8 billion over three weeks.
- Crude advanced on Middle East supply concerns, with WTI near $91 and Brent near $96, while gold consolidated in the $4,400–$4,500 range.
- This week’s focus shifts to retail earnings from September 8 ET, Oracle and Adobe on September 10, and CPI on September 11.
1、Crypto Market Highlights
1)Bitcoin Stabilizes Near $80,000; Spot ETFs Take In About $3.8 Billion Over Three Weeks
Bitcoin peaked above $81,000 last week before pulling back to about $79,800–$80,000, while Ethereum returned to around $2,500. From August 31 to September 4, spot bitcoin ETFs recorded about $987 million of net inflows, including about $731 million on September 3 alone; Ethereum ETFs took in about $215–$218 million over the same period. Institutional inflows offset September seasonal selling pressure, but rate pricing still limits the slope of any breakout.
Watchlist: BTC, ETH
Spot: BTC / ETH
Futures: BTC / ETH
2)Privacy Sector Leads; METIS, ZEC, NYM and ZK Stand Out
Privacy became the main altcoin narrative. ZEC was lifted by Grayscale’s ZCSH product and shielded-pool migration expectations, briefly reclaiming a key round-number level and leading the group, while METIS, NYM, and ZK advanced in tandem. Capital is pricing privacy compute, censorship resistance, and institutionally tradable products together, leaving short-term volatility materially above that of the major tokens.
Watchlist: METIS, ZEC, NYM, ZK
Spot: METIS / ZEC / NYM / ZK
Futures: METIS / ZEC / NYM / ZK
3)Perpetuals Sector Edges Higher; RAY, JUP and O Attract Rotation
Perpetual and DEX-related tokens posted only modest gains, with RAY, JUP, and O following a pickup in turnover. Derivatives activity was led more by short covering than by a surge in leverage, suggesting a repair in risk appetite rather than the start of a new standalone uptrend.
Watchlist: RAY, JUP, O
Spot: RAY / JUP / O
Futures: RAY / JUP / O
2、Market Highlights
1)August Payrolls Beat Revives Hike Pricing and Caps Risk Assets
August payrolls of about 162,000 came in stronger than the previously softer consensus, while the unemployment rate held at 4.1%. The firmer labor print gives the Fed more room to keep policy restrictive until inflation returns to 2%, and the 10-year yield rose to around 4.78%. Tech and small-cap elasticity then faded as investors shifted from “no more hikes this year” toward “one more tightening remains possible.” The next catalysts are CPI on September 11 ET and official comments ahead of the September meeting.
Watchlist: SPY, QQQ, IWM, TLT
Spot: SPY / QQQ / IWM / TLT
Futures: SPY / QQQ / IWM / TLT
2)Crude Strengthens, with WTI Around $91 and Brent Around $96
Crude posted strong weekly gains, with WTI trading around $91 and Brent near $96. Concerns over navigation and supply disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz lifted the geopolitical risk premium, reinforced by expectations for lower inventories. Energy equities remained relatively resilient, although firmer oil prices also reinforce pricing for sticky inflation.
Watchlist: CRUDEOIL
Spot: CRUDEOIL
Futures: BZ / CL
3)Gold Consolidates in the $4,400–$4,500 Range
Spot gold rebounded from around $4,365 to about $4,510 last week before pulling back, trading roughly in the $4,420–$4,490 range into the weekend. Stronger payrolls lifted real-rate expectations again and slowed the metal’s upside momentum, while geopolitical and safe-haven demand continued to provide underlying support. Silver traded in a similarly elevated range.
Watchlist: GOLD, SILVER
Spot: GOLD / SILVER
Futures: GOLD / XAG
3、Today’s Preview
U.S. equity trading resumes on September 8 ET. Investors will focus on retail and software earnings, and on how September 11 inflation data reprices expectations for the September FOMC meeting.
Watchlist: GME, ORCL, ADBE, SPY, QQQ
Spot: GME / ORCL / ADBE / SPY / QQQ
Futures: GME / ORCL / ADBE / SPY / QQQ

Payrolls Beat Revives Hike Pricing | WEEX TradFi Daily(September 7, 2026)
Global markets spent the weekend digesting last week’s payrolls data and crypto fund flows. August job growth of roughly 162,000 and a steady 4.1% unemployment rate pushed the 10-year Treasury yield to around 4.78%, reviving rate-hike pricing and weighing on technology and other long-duration assets. In crypto, bitcoin held near $80,000 as spot ETF inflows remained supportive, signaling that institutional risk appetite has not fully faded. At the same time, oil stayed firm on Middle East supply concerns, while gold consolidated at elevated levels. This week, attention turns to Oracle and Adobe earnings, as well as CPI, for the next repricing of the September Fed path.
