Alibaba has released the AI music model HappyShrimp 1.0, allowing users to generate complete songs by describing emotions, stories, or musical ideas. The model focuses on natural language understanding, enabling users to input phrases like "a letter to my freshly graduated self" to automatically determine the genre, instrumentation, vocals, and structure. Complex prompts can control BPM, key, instruments, vocal gender, singing style, and emotional progression. HappyShrimp employs end-to-end song generation, addressing common issues in AI music such as mechanical vocals, mismatched lyrics and melodies, and loose structures. Additionally, Alibaba has launched the namesake AI music platform HappyShrimp, where users can generate, publish, listen to, and share AI music works. The web version is now available, and an independent app is in preparation. Upon its launch, HappyShrimp announced a partnership with Taihe Music Group, offering new users free credits to experience the platform.
