Aurora stopped producing blocks at 2:16:11 AM UTC this Monday, before resuming its activity without any explanation regarding the cause of the incident. No loss of funds has been reported. The total value locked (TVL) on Aurora has dropped from $2.5 billion to $3.2 million, representing a decline of approximately 99.9%. The trading volume on the decentralized platforms of the network reached only $12,500 over the last twenty-four hours. The AURORA token, which peaked at an all-time high of $35.40 in January 2022, is currently trading around $0.019, with a market capitalization between $13 million and $14 million. Aurora is not the only network to have faced difficulties this year, with similar interruptions observed on Base and Starknet. The lack of official communication from Aurora Labs raises questions about the causes of the outage and the measures to be taken to prevent future incidents.
