Now that the market remains stagnant, with little to no activity, attention has naturally shifted toward online poker.

Crypto enthusiasts are migrating in growing numbers, a trend that contributed to the industry's $3.2 billion revenue milestone in Q1 2026.

Among the operators capturing a large share of this market is CoinPoker. This is no surprise anyways, considering how it has successfully kept players entertained and incentivized through elite, high-stakes poker tournaments and promotions.

Just last Monday, the crypto poker site wrapped up the Battle of Malta Online, which opened up equal opportunities for every player to chase down a share of $30 million in crypto prizes, unique trophies, as well as 100 all-expenses-paid Battle of Malta Autumn Edition 2026 packages.

But shortly before this series, CoinPoker had distributed more than $48 million in cash prizes through its flagship World Poker Masters and announced an upgrade to its CoinRewards program, which now offers $7 million in monthly rewards.

The next tournament rollout, however, could be its biggest promotion in history, given the size of its prize pool and the number of medals up for grabs.

Dubbed the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC), the goal here is to bring the world to CoinPoker to battle for a share of a staggering $50 million guarantee and $350,000 in additional rewards through schedules built around primetime hours in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

The GOPC will run for six weeks, from August 23 to September 28, and by its conclusion, CoinPoker says it will have paid out more than $133 million in tournament prizes across its 2026 series.

And with just two weeks to go, players are already looking forward to representing their regional GOPC teams in the medal chase.

The full GOPC schedule is still to come, though early announcements indicate that it will follow an Olympic-style format, with players competing for Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals alongside cash prizes throughout the series.

More than 700 medal tournaments are planned, including three Main Events, led by a $3 million flagship. Thankfully, these events are spread across three buy-ins to accommodate players with different bankrolls.

And regardless of the event buy-in, the top three finishers will receive their medals. The winners, for example, will receive a digital Gold medal displayed in their Trophy Cabinet alongside a permanent physical version.

Here's now where it gets even more interesting: the competition extends to a series-long Podium Race leaderboard, where every medal won contributes points toward a share of $20,000. Every medal holds the same value, whether secured in a high roller field or a lower-stakes event.

That structure gives players across all levels an equal chance to compete for both the major guarantees and additional rewards.

The next important highlight of the championship? Scheduling! In recent years, major online series have often followed European and American primetime schedules, leaving Asian-Pacific regulars with no choice but to play at inconvenient hours.

The GOPC, however, is taking an inclusive scheduling pattern. Per the details released so far, there will be three different schedules, each tailored to Europe, Asia, and Latin America primetime.

Early feedback suggests this approach is resonating with players, with many of them already preparing to capitalize on the schedule tailored to their region.

So, it would be hardly surprising if the championship goes on to record millions of registrations and entries.

But before then, on August 17, CoinPoker plans to launch a premium membership program dubbed 3-Bet Club, giving community members access to exclusive rewards such as tournament discounts, VIP perks, and priority support.

Major Events Announced So Far

CoinMillion GOPC Edition

The next editions of the monthly $215 CoinMillion, $55 CoinMillion, and $11 Mini CoinMillion have all been folded into the GOPC series, adding an extra layer of depth to the competition.

The first and second CoinMillion events took place during the World Poker Masters and Battle of Malta Online, respectively. Each edition attracted more than 4,000 entries, underscoring the overall appeal of the tournament.

Take the second edition, for instance: it drew 4,784 entries, and was won by monc, who earned $121,500.

In terms of prize pools, the $215 CoinMillion carries a $1,000,000 guarantee, while the $55 CoinMillion and $11 Mini CoinMillion come with $250,000 and $100,000 guarantees, respectively.

Every CoinMillion champion receives a custom physical trophy delivered after the event, alongside a digital trophy and a substantial winner's prize.

Three Tiered Main Events

Where the GOPC also stands out is in its tiered Main Events, designed to ensure that bankroll is not a barrier to participation.

$530 Main Event

The first tier is the $530 Main Event, specifically for high rollers and ambitious grinders. This tournament carries a $3,000,000 guarantee, making it the championship's largest prize pool.

Players will compete for a share of the cash prize alongside Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. Day 1 flights will be available mostly on Sundays, though there will be three more flights on other days to create more qualification routes to Day 2.

Day 2 will run on the final day of the championship, September 28th at 17:30 UTC.

$55 Global Main

Mid-stakes players can look forward to the $55 Global Main, featuring a $1,000,000 guarantee.

Just like the $530 Main Event, the top three finishers here will receive Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals along with their payouts.

Day 1 will run daily until September 21, when Day 2 will take place.

$11 Mini Main

Last on the lineup is the $11 Mini Main, carrying a $250,000 GTD. It offers daily flights, culminating in Day 2 on September 21, the same date as the Global Main.

$350,000 in Additional Cash Rewards via GOPC Promotions and Leaderboard

Beyond the guaranteed prize pools, CoinPoker plans to integrate three additional promotions worth $350,000 into the series.

One of them is the Comeback Lanes, which will distribute $250,000 in tournament tickets to players based on their activeness during the GOPC.

The next promotion comes in the form of Top Ten Leaderboards, ranking players based on their best results across all event tiers for a share of $80,000.

Then, there is the Podium Race, structured to pay $20,000 to the five players who acquired the most medals.
