Dragonfly partner Haseeb Qureshi responded to DFINITY founder Dominic Williams' allegations that NEAR Intents used threshold ECDSA signature technology without authorization, pointing out that the related patent was not approved until the end of July this year and was previously in a "patent application" status. NEAR Intents modified the relevant algorithm in September this year. Qureshi stated that if Dominic Williams' claims are true, the patent infringement may only involve about a month of time, and the relevant algorithm was originally published in an academic paper under a CC BY license, which NEAR also referenced in its implementation.
