South Korean Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho stated that measures to address single stock leveraged ETFs have shown effectiveness, with related trading volumes significantly declining. The trading volume of single stock leveraged ETFs has dropped from 12.4 trillion won on July 30 to 800 billion won on August 7, a decrease of nearly 96% from the peak of 19.4 trillion won on June 25. Meanwhile, the South Korean stock market continued its upward trend, with the Kospi index recently reported at 6,356 points, up 56 points, an increase of 0.9%. Samsung Electronics rose by 3.9%, while SK Hynix remained relatively stable.
