Strategy Spent $176 Million on STRC Stock Buyback
The company spent $176.3 million to repurchase 1.81 million shares of STRC between August 31 and September 7, and during this period, no transactions were made on Bitcoin. The board of directors increased the authorization for the buyback of its digital credit securities from $1 billion to $2 billion, and as of September 7, $1.19 billion of this program's capacity remains. The transaction of STRC shares was financed from the dollar liquidity account, which after the buyback reached $1.44 billion. Additionally, the company holds $5.1 billion in its dollar reserve account. The total Bitcoin assets of the company remained at 845,050 BTC, valued at $63.73 billion. During the reporting period, no sales were made through the market rate stock offering program, and the average buyback price for each STRC share was approximately $97.36. Furthermore, no shares of preferred stocks STRF, STRK, STRD, or common stock MSTR were repurchased. Strategy has a separate authorization of $1 billion for the buyback of common stock MSTR, which remained untouched as of September 7.
