Wall Street CEOs Included in G20 Finance Meeting
The U.S. Treasury has included CEOs from major Wall Street banks and industry executives in the official agenda for the 2026 G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting. The meeting will take place from August 31 to September 1 in Asheville, North Carolina. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bensinger is set to discuss global economic priorities with finance ministers and central bank governors from major countries. Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, and David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs, are expected to attend. This meeting marks the first instance where the voices of the private financial sector will be directly reflected in the G20 finance meeting, featuring a session for business leaders. The G20 finance track serves as a channel for discussing macroeconomics, financial regulation, and debt issues, with discussions on digital assets, payments, and financial regulation also taking place during this meeting. Secretary Bensinger will emphasize growth and debt restraint, addressing regulatory easing and global imbalance issues. The meeting in Asheville is expected to bring an economic impact of approximately $1.5 to $2 million to the local economy. Following this, a finance ministers' meeting will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 15.
