Zhihu Plans to Invest 1.5 Billion Yuan to Establish AI and Frontier Technology Industry Fund
Zhihu's wholly-owned subsidiary has signed a subscription agreement with general partners and fund managers to subscribe for limited partnership interests in the fund with its own funds amounting to 1.5 billion yuan. Upon completion of the subscription, Zhihu is expected to hold no more than 30% of the fund's interests. The fund has a duration of 7 years, which can be extended for up to two additional years, with an investment period of 4 years. It will primarily invest in early to mid-stage non-listed companies in the fields of artificial intelligence and frontier technology in mainland China, covering areas such as foundational models, AI infrastructure, robotics, and AI applications.
