Bitcoin Awakens After 10 Years, 202.84 BTC Transferred
Bitcoin (BTC) wallets that have been inactive for over a decade are recently being activated. From August 29 to September 4, a total of 202.84 BTC was moved from at least four long-dormant wallets, amounting to approximately $15.73 million at current value. Among these, 40 BTC purchased in 2011 for about $120 has now increased to around $3 million. The largest wallet transferred 146.06 BTC, currently valued at about $11.31 million. This Bitcoin has not moved for approximately 12 years and 10 months since November 2013. Another wallet that has been dormant since November 2011 moved 40 BTC, now valued at about $3.09 million. The average purchase price of this Bitcoin is estimated to be around $3. The current value of 10 BTC that has not moved since June 2011 is approximately $777,000, and a wallet that has been inactive since February 2011 transferred 6.78 BTC. According to Galaxy Research, Bitcoin that has not moved for over 10 years has been actively transferring since 2026. Some wallets have moved to Coinbase, which may be related to preparations for selling. However, it has not been confirmed whether any actual sales have occurred.
