The company achieved an adjusted income from operations of $1.8 billion, or $6.74 per share, surpassing the expected earnings per share (EPS) of $6.35. This performance also exceeded the prior year’s first-quarter adjusted income of $1.9 billion, or $6.47 per share.In comparison to the expectations set for the quarter, The Cigna Group’s actual revenue of $65.5 billion was significantly higher than the anticipated $60.38 billion. The updated outlook also accounts for expected share repurchases and anticipated dividends throughout the year.For its Evernorth segment, The Cigna Group anticipates adjusted income from operations, pre-tax, to reach at least $7.2 billion for the full year.
